I would like to invite you to my new art show “Tropical Expressionism”

After recently returning to Florida, I would like to introduce you to my new art painted here in Florida’s beautiful sun, skies and water. I enjoy the pinks, yellows turquoises and greens which flower this area. Palm trees have always been my favorite. They happily dance in the sky; I hope to have captured this feeling of “Tropical Expressionism” in my paintings.

People have repeatedly asked me for the possibility of Giclée’s and I am excited to offer Certified Giclée Prints of my work for the first time at my show “Tropical Expressionism” at the Arts for Act Gallery.

What is a giclée

Tropical Expressionism

The giclée print is a very sophisticated, high quality "digital fine art printing process". This process was already developed by IRIS, an American company in the late 1980s. Since then it has become highly accepted in the art scene and is very attractive to many art collectors. It is placed alongside with lithography.

In the IRIS process, "a cylinder with the paper fixed to it rotates at high speed." Droplets of paint smaller than 1/10 of the "diameter of a human hair” are applied simultaneously. Unlike when printing with normal inkjet printers, the picture is not rastered, since the IRIS process is similar to the printing process of “continuous tone processing”. Due to the superior quality of giclée prints even experts often cannot distinguish the prints from their originals.

"The IRIS process printing technique with the designation ‘giclée’ is protected by copyright, therefore only this printing process may be called Iris giclée".

Many internationally reknown artists use giclées, such as Robert Rauschenberg, Joyce Tenneson, David Hockney and others.

For our giclées we use archive- quality paper and pigmented inks, so we can assure you "prints that last up to 98 years under glass and 200 years in an album".

We certify that the prints are authentic, limited editions, with a signed "Certificate of Authenticity", signed by me, Christina Jarmolinski.
